Summary

Can these opposites turn up the heat… without burning down the house?

House-flipping sensation and YouTube star Maggie Nichols can’t wait to dig into her next challenge。 Arriving in tiny Kinship, Idaho, with only a cot and a coffeemaker, Maggie is prepared to restore a crumbling Victorian mansion in four months or less。 She has her to-do lists, her blueprints, and her team。 What she doesn’t have is time for sexy, laid-back landscaper Silas Wright。

The man takes flirtation to a whole new level。 And he does it shirtless…sometimes pants-less。 He and his service school-dropout dog are impressively persistent。 But she’s not interested in putting down roots。 Not when fans tune in to watch her travel the country turning dilapidated houses into dream homes。 A short-term fling on the other hand could fit nicely into her calendar。 After all, Maggie remembers what fun is like。 Vaguely。

As their summer gets downright steamy, Silas manages to demolish the emotional walls she’s spent years building, sending Maggie into a panic。 He’s the wrench in her carefully constructed plans。 With the end of the project looming, she has a decision to make。 But how can she stay when her entire career is built on moving on?

Sweet mother of grapefruit!!! This book was。。。 AMAZING。 I read Things We Never Got Over and thought there is no way Lucy Score can top it but man oh man did she get damn close!!! Silas Wright is without a doubt the flirtiest MMC I have EVER read and it absolutely destroyed me!!!! I was grinning so damn hard! There are so many cute and awesome twists and turns in this book and watching Maggie progress as a character was so beautiful。 The end surprises in the book blew me away!!! Maggie Moves on has everything I have come to expect from Lucy Score - humor, heart, mystery, romance, and self discovery。 Her writing style draws you right in and the characters feel like best friends。 Kinship, Idaho was the escape I needed。 Maggie has a growing following on YouTube as a home renovator。 She produces her own series of home makeovers around the country, selling the homes and moving on to the next adventure。 Her newest project, a run down Victorian monstrosity in Idaho, may prove Maggie Moves on has everything I have come to expect from Lucy Score - humor, heart, mystery, romance, and self discovery。 Her writing style draws you right in and the characters feel like best friends。 Kinship, Idaho was the escape I needed。 Maggie has a growing following on YouTube as a home renovator。 She produces her own series of home makeovers around the country, selling the homes and moving on to the next adventure。 Her newest project, a run down Victorian monstrosity in Idaho, may prove her biggest challenge yet。 From a cursed kitchen to a historical gold heist to a landscaper who tempts her to break her nomadic ways。Silas is a man who loves his hometown and his big family。 Working as a landscaper with his rescue pup, Kevin, gives him the amazing opportunity to design the landscape for the historical Victorian house on the hill。 And when he meets Maggie, he knows it's a sign。 Now, if only he can convince her to slow down and see it! 。。。more

Lucy Score is queen。 This book (aka hot landscaper guy aka Silas) is everything。 This is now my new favorite comfort read。

This was 3。75 rounded up to 4 for me。 Overall, I enjoyed this book。 I love the idea of flipping a house, finding hidden treasures inside an old mansion along the way, and falling in love with the hunky landscaper。 Maggie is a driven woman who skillfully improves homes, has a massive YouTube following, and has perfected her self-sufficiency to the point that she has a tricky time depending on others。 When Maggie tackles a huge project in Idaho (!), she hires Silas to help trim her hedges ;-) If y This was 3。75 rounded up to 4 for me。 Overall, I enjoyed this book。 I love the idea of flipping a house, finding hidden treasures inside an old mansion along the way, and falling in love with the hunky landscaper。 Maggie is a driven woman who skillfully improves homes, has a massive YouTube following, and has perfected her self-sufficiency to the point that she has a tricky time depending on others。 When Maggie tackles a huge project in Idaho (!), she hires Silas to help trim her hedges ;-) If you can’t handle my corny euphemism, you may not be up for all of the descriptive moments of heat (Silas’s bulging pants and Maggie’s breasts are practically supporting characters)。 This book was predictable and a bit long, but it’s a fun summer read。 While I was not a huge fan of Silas’s insta-love, I was a fan of the book overall and enjoyed it。 。。。more

I really loved this one。 I did drift off at points when it came to the “treasure hunt” but it was spicer than I thought it would be! (In a good way) I loved the social media aspect of it as well as the lgbt characters。 It was suspenseful and adorable。 Perfect quick and easy read

Lucy Score has to be one of my favorite authors of all time - across genres。 She has the magic balance of funny, gritty, raw, beautiful, sexy, and all of the other things。 Her characters and books are so real, I’m ready to book my flights to Kinship, or Blue Moon, or Benevolence。 I cannot get enough of her incredible prose - which is poetic and amazing - or her perfect plot lines。 My only regret is that I can only reread her books; I can’t experience them again for the first time。

I just couldn't get into this book。 The writing was fine but the story just wasn't for me。 I had zero investment in the hero and heroine getting together。 It might just be a not-right-now story for me and I will try to come back to it later。 *I recieved an ARC from NetGalley for voluntary review。 I just couldn't get into this book。 The writing was fine but the story just wasn't for me。 I had zero investment in the hero and heroine getting together。 It might just be a not-right-now story for me and I will try to come back to it later。 *I recieved an ARC from NetGalley for voluntary review。 。。。more

This was a fun book!I really love HGTV, and all of the flipping shows, so this was a great find for me! Maggie was a great MC, and her relationship with everyone was great! She was tough, and vulnerable at the same time。 I liked Silas as well…。when he was not acting like he had the right to make decisions for Maggie, or that he was in control。 When he was sweet and sexy…。he was the best! This was another great book by an author I had never heard of until a few months ago。 Now I wait with the rest of her fans for the next book to come out! 。。。more

4。5⭐️This was such a lovely story。 It had depth and a crew of likeable characters。 Opposites attract and home reno’s with a dash of a treasure hunt。 This one reminded me a bit of Something Wilder (Christina Lauren) and Homewreckers (Mary Kay Andrews) in a really good way。 Loved the open door steam and the strong banter。 Instalove is not typically my thing but I found it worked better when it was more one sided。 I would recommend this one to anyone looking for a solid read。 Can’t wait to read mor 4。5⭐️This was such a lovely story。 It had depth and a crew of likeable characters。 Opposites attract and home reno’s with a dash of a treasure hunt。 This one reminded me a bit of Something Wilder (Christina Lauren) and Homewreckers (Mary Kay Andrews) in a really good way。 Loved the open door steam and the strong banter。 Instalove is not typically my thing but I found it worked better when it was more one sided。 I would recommend this one to anyone looking for a solid read。 Can’t wait to read more by this author。 。。。more

Maggie & Silas I quiet enjoyed this book, I didn't really have any expectations going in because I really haven't enjoyed any of Lucy Score's books until now。 Maggie does what she loves, she reno's houses and moves from one place to another。 Not really puttin roots down anywhere。 This has a lot to do with her past, but this time Silas happened and Kevin and everyone kind of burrows their way into her heart without here know it。 I loved how the book didn't have the normal dramalama like a lot of Maggie & Silas I quiet enjoyed this book, I didn't really have any expectations going in because I really haven't enjoyed any of Lucy Score's books until now。 Maggie does what she loves, she reno's houses and moves from one place to another。 Not really puttin roots down anywhere。 This has a lot to do with her past, but this time Silas happened and Kevin and everyone kind of burrows their way into her heart without here know it。 I loved how the book didn't have the normal dramalama like a lot of book do。 There were parts I was scratching my head at but for the most part it was just a story of find where you belong。 Silas is a patient man I will say that after the hoops he jumps through he never really looses his cool。 His dog Kevin totally stole the show for me。 The audiobook was good。 Emma does a fine job。 。。。more

What I like most about Lucy Score’s books is the fast pace rhythm and the humor。 She has a great sense of humor and a lot of times I laughed out loud reading this one。 Also, she can write a sex scene like no one can but this book was a challenge for me。 I’m not sure if the problem is my English or not but Lucy describe every single thing Maggie is renovating at the house she’s flipping out and I couldn’t visualize what she was saying and that made the experience difficult and boring。 It’s not ne What I like most about Lucy Score’s books is the fast pace rhythm and the humor。 She has a great sense of humor and a lot of times I laughed out loud reading this one。 Also, she can write a sex scene like no one can but this book was a challenge for me。 I’m not sure if the problem is my English or not but Lucy describe every single thing Maggie is renovating at the house she’s flipping out and I couldn’t visualize what she was saying and that made the experience difficult and boring。 It’s not necessary for the reader to know every single detail like that so I think it was a waste of time and energy and made the story boring。 Other than that the heroine is a lot, most of the time I wanted to slap her face right and left and the hero was too perfect for my liking。 There are a lot of side characters but that’s expected when it comes to Lucy Score。 I didn’t like the suspense in the book about the house, I felt like the house was hunted and any time the Winchester’s brothers were gonna make an appearance to exorcise the spirits。 And honestly I didn’t really care about some crime that stole the money or the family that lived there before, I feel like this was so unnecessary to the romance that I blacked out every time。 And I feel like there’s a lot of similarities with another book from Lucy - Pretend you’re Mine。 In Pretend you’re Mine, the heroine is living temporarily with the hero and stars to build a life and a home without realizing, first they buy furniture, then she host dinner parties, then she adopts a dog, and by the end they are fostering 3 kids。 In Maggie Moves on, Maggie and Silas starts to date, and then need to buy furniture (for a house that she’s supposed to sell later), then they adopt a teenage boy (and buy him a car!!!) and two cats and have dinner parties for all the new friends and family。 The only big difference is that in this case the hero is the one trying to convince the heroine to have a relationship。 Overall, it’s fun。 Sweet and sex sometimes。 But it’s also boring, long and hard to read。 。。。more

Incredible! It hit every one of my guilty pleasures: HGTV-esque show, old mansion renovation, estranged family, mystery, romance, dogs, and some kittens。 I absolutely loved this book

I don't usually give a Lucy Score book only 4 stars, but I think that the trad pub editors probably took some of the sparkle out of Lucy's writing。 That's just my guess。 At times, the book kind of dragged for me。 But I did love Silas。 I thought he was charming and funny 90% of the time。 (That's a book reference, BTW。) He was also very sexy。 Maggie was annoying at times。The way Lucy handled the epilogue was kind of weird, though I was happy to get all the information。 I don't usually give a Lucy Score book only 4 stars, but I think that the trad pub editors probably took some of the sparkle out of Lucy's writing。 That's just my guess。 At times, the book kind of dragged for me。 But I did love Silas。 I thought he was charming and funny 90% of the time。 (That's a book reference, BTW。) He was also very sexy。 Maggie was annoying at times。The way Lucy handled the epilogue was kind of weird, though I was happy to get all the information。 。。。more
